Security Officer - Operational Support Team, Full Time, Average 36 Hours per week (HR125) - Cambridge

Security Officer required for the Operational Support Team covering sites in and around the Cambridge area. 

Role Details:

Hours available: 36 Contracted hours per week over a 17-week period

Shift Pattern: Days, Nights, Weekends and Bank Holidays (roster pattern will be discussed at interview)

Remuneration: Site related

Role Requirements: Frontline SIA Licence, Full Clean Driving Licence and a 5 year checkable work history

About your new role:

As a Security Officer in the Operational Support Team covering sites in the Cambridge area, your primary duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Demonstrating excellent customer service skills particularly when directly interfacing with the client
  • Dealing with demanding situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Answering incoming external calls for the site
  • Responding to and recording all incidents in the Daily Occurrence Book
  • Deterring criminal activity on site 
  • Comprehensive report writing skills 
  • Conducting foot patrols of the site
  • Providing assistance and support to our client on site
  • Monitoring site access control with the assistance of an internal CCTV system 
  • Protecting valuable property and equipment
  • Provide customer service to all visitors and contractors on site
Skills & Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 5 years checkable employment history
  • Frontline SIA Licence 
  • IT Skills 
  • Full, valid driver’s licence, own transport and scope to travel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Worked within a customer focussed environment
Desirable skills:
  • Industry experience 
  • SIA CCTV Licence 
  • First Aid
