Mark has over 21 years of security management experience at director level. Following an initial career in the offshore energy sector, Mark entered the security industry in 1991 as an Operations Director for Integral Security Limited (ISL) and was appointed Managing Director in 1995. 

Mark was instrumental in bringing together ISL and Dardan Security to form ISL Dardan in 2002 and the later merger of ISL Dardan with Gardwell Security in 2009, forming GSL Dardan Ltd.

He has experience in dealing with the security needs of a diverse range of business sectors and spends time at all Dardan Security regional office locations.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys socialising, and various sports including horse riding, cycling, football and rugby.

Philip embarked on a career in the corporate security industry in 1989 and over the next 5 years a series of promotions gave Philip an excellent grounding in all aspects of the security and service sector, including sales, key accounts and operations.

In 2004 Philip joined Knightsbridge Guarding as Managing Director where he was tasked with recruiting the brightest and most capable people available; setting exacting standards in service delivery and growing the business with a very select client base, including Goldman Sachs, J P Morgan, Ernst and Young, Ashurst’s, Standard Chartered Bank and many corporate clients operating in buildings manged by JLL.

Under Philip's guidance Knightsbridge were recognised by the Times Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies as one of the best managed service providers in the UK. Philip was also instrumental in the purchase and success of Perception, a sister company to Knightsbridge. Perception was a specialist front of house/concierge company which, in a short space of time grew substantially across the West End and City.

Philip joined Dardan in 2013 as Managing Director.

Outside of work Philip enjoys playing and watching rugby having played at a professional level in Australia, for a number of years.

Director

Michael was a founding member of Dardan, incorporated in August 1973. It later merged with ISL in 2002, rebranding as ISL Dardan Security Ltd before merging with Gardwell Security in 2009 to become GSL Dardan Ltd. Michael will celebrate his 45th year in the security industry in August 2018.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys cycling, hockey, kart racing and boating.

Andy joined Dardan in October 2018.  A former Army officer, Andy has 30 years operational experience from multiple tours of Northern Ireland, Balkans, Middle East, Asia and Africa.  Focused on overt and covert surveillance, intelligence and reconnaissance, primarily in hostile environments, he has significant experience of identifying threats and vulnerabilities and creating systems to mitigate risk.  In his final military role, he was Head of Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance.

As an instructor and trainer he has frequently deployed globally to deliver security, counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency training.
 
Andy was the MOD’s principal planner for the design and implementation of regional contingency plans for the protection of Critical National Infrastructure in the South East, and was the MOD’s operational lead for their contribution to flood relief operations in 2014.  In 2015 he was mentioned in the New Year’s Honours for his contribution to the design of Op TEMPERER, the MOD’s response to a major terrorist attack, which was first activated by the Prime Minister following the Manchester Arena bombing in May 2017.
 
Andy has a Masters’ degree in Leadership and Management, an MBA and has completed eight months post graduate study at the Defence Academy, focusing on the Global Effects on Security, Counter Insurgency and Management of Risk.  He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a Member of the Security Institute.

Andy boasts over 23 years experience of working within HM Prison Service, culminating in his appointment as a senior manager and governor within the prison.

Joining Dardan in April 2014 as Operations and Support Services Manager, Andy was tasked with ensuring our operational teams and our clients received the maximum benefit from our support systems.

Following his success in this role, Andy was promoted to Head of Operations and Support Services in April 2018. As well as continuing to have overall responsibility for patrol and response and support services, which includes our 24/7 control room and our resource and planning teams, Andy has operational responsibility for all contracts we hold within the general industry and service sector.

Andy is also the project manager for the Eastern region Cross-sector Safety and Security Communication (CSSC).

Head of Commercial

Alton heads up Dardan Security’s commercial and financial functions, taking overall responsibility for financial reporting and forecasting, legal and regulatory compliance, risk and insurance management, and project costing. Alton works closely with the operational teams within the business, offering stewardship and guidance to ensure all business decisions are fully appraised for their financial viability. Alton’s team within Dardan prepare various reports drilling down to each client and each location’s financial performance, to certify that each client contract is managed efficiently and within budget, in order to safeguard the future of those contracts and the client/supplier partnership.

Alton joined Dardan in 2015, having previously held key financial positions within major companies within the service industry, the oil and gas industry, and the financial services industry.

Alton is a fellow member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and is a holder of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants Diploma in Management Accounting.

Renato Notarianni

Renato, known as Ren to colleagues and clients, travelled the world as an engineer with the the offshore exploration and surveying company Gardline before joining sister company GSL Dardan in 2002. Ren was promoted to Divisional Manager in 2007 and became Managing Director of the Dardan Security systems division in 2012.

He works closely with his team to ensure delivery of a complete security solution to his clients.

Andy has been with the company since 1997 and is responsible for our health, safety, environmental and quality assurance processes. Andy holds a Masters in Business Administration, is a qualified Lead Auditor accredited to the International Register of Certificated Auditors and holds a National General Certificate from National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).

He has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry working in operations, business development and the electronic systems sector of our capabilities. He is also instrumental in ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and implementing continuous improvement for our clients.

Andy provides health and safety advice to our on-site teams including monthly briefings and toolbox talks. Andy also holds regular health and safety forums with our officers. He also carries out quarterly audit and compliance visits to our client sites.
