Case Study: Migsolv
The Migsolv - formerly Sentry42 - data centre in Norwich is one of the most advanced, envrionmentally efficient and highly secure data centres in the UK.
Migsolv provides secure, resilient and scalable colocation space for companies requiring the very best in data centre and server hosting to keep their businesses operating.
At the heart of every business is electronic data, whether it is in the form of customer records, the website, the accounts system or a CRM prospecting database, and losing such data could have catastrophic consequences for some of Migsolv’s clients, and the reputation of Migsolv as a secure co-location provider.
When the contract for security became due for renewal, Migration Solutions, Europe’s leading data centre consultancy and operator of the Migsolv centre in Norwich, under took extensive market research into appropriately qualified and experienced security firms to protect their businesses.
They required a round-the-clock manned security guarding service that would protect both customers and employees of the Migsolv data centre, including property and assets.
Dardan proposed a comprehensive security guarding solution, utilising the following services:
• Manned security guards comprising one shift supervisor and one officer at all times
• On-going managerial support and training to the entire team
• Regular reviews with Migsolv to ensure service excellence
Dardan was selected to provide the security guarding at Migsolv based on their performance, service, reputation and the ability to understand the importance of maintaining exceptional security at the data centre.
Since commencement in March 2012, Dardan has successfully transferred the existing security staff to contracts, and now supply a team of experienced on-site officers, combined with highly regarded Dardan staff, to form a committed, balanced team. The Dardan management visit the site on at least a weekly basis, and regularly liaise with MigSolv’s Operations Team to stay on top of the demands of a busy data centre.
